After building an empire from humble beginnings, a young and determined David Brown, owner of Clip Culture Barbershop, remembers what it took to get here:

A Charleston, SC native, Clip Culture Barbershop owner David Brown, worked a 9-5 job like many of us do- in an environment where profit and sales reigned supreme over customer experience. Unfulfilled, David went back to his roots and set out to provide a full-service barber shop where great cuts, modern luxuries and a true community vibe is the norm.

Brown obtained his bachelor’s degree from South Carolina State University in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. He also obtained his Masters Degree from Webster University in Human Resource Development. Although he desired an executive position in corporate America, he quickly realized that barbering was his love and passion. David moved to Atlanta in 2012, and in March of 2013, he found the Cutting Edge Institute and signed up for barber school and things took off quickly.

Brown fell in love with his craft and along the way found his purpose. After deciding to leave his corporate job in July of 2014, David received his master barber license January 22nd 2015 and began his career.

On December 12, 2017, after 4 years in the industry and working in a couple of shops in the Sandy Springs area of Atlanta, David launched Clip Culture Barbershop.

A leading trendsetter throughout Atlanta and now the world, Brown has been determined to spread the word of barbering, encouraging education and elevation for all. To help spread the work, David has written multiple books, introduced clothing brands, men’s products. Clip Culture Barbershop is opening its second location in Summerhill this spring.
